We thank you for sending us the announcement of the International

Unfortunately, we cannot attend. However, we would like to draw
attention to the fact that we award for the past 10 years the PRIZE
FOR WOMEN'S CREATIVITY IN RURAL LIFE (280 awards given so

We also convene global the annual WORLD RURAL WOMEN'S DAY -

knowledge and empowerment. Every year an OPEN LETTER TO
RURAL WOMEN OF

who then mark the World Day with activities and events to draw
attention to the theme chosen for the year.
We are attaching a copy of the letter 2003 with the theme:
CLAIM YOUR RIGHT TO INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION
TECHNOLOGIES ICTs, a tool for your empowerment and development
which speaks to the topic of your workshop.
We are in the middle of writing the OPEN LETTER TO RURAL

We wish you a most successful meeting and look forward to
hearing about the outcomes of your conference.
