I am Nancy Hafkin, living in Boston MA (USA) now, but previously having =
lived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (for 25 years) and worked throughout =
Africa. I havebeen working for a long time on both gender and on ICT in =
Africa. I am very interested in how ICT can reach poor, rural women =
because I feel that the attributes of ICT (being able to end isolation =
relatively cheaply and very rapidly) could be more beneficial to women =
in rural areas of developing countries than to any other group in =
society. I am presently travelling to India, where a lot is being done =
in this area. I hope to be able to share some of what I see/hear with =
the list, with the possibility that some of what is being done could be =
done as well in Africa.
Regards,
Nancy
