Greetings all,
I am Irene OSSERE, specialist of rural development in Congo-Brazzaville.
Among the ways we do use for helping rural women to get information, there are:
- improvement and decentralisation the management of infromation and the communication at local level, national and intra-institunional;
- offer of informaion services: It must have a best access to the training and innovations in rural and agricultural development level including popularization. So this offer must have for a goal : to product and to distribute a pertinent information services accessible to rural women, to increase theirs skills in management of the information and communication, contributing to their effective participation to the decision-making at all levels;
- to promote the usage of TICS like a key-tool for women in rural and agricultural development level.

I am Sylvie SIYAM SIWE, president of an association named PROTEGE QV in Cameroon.
PROTEGE QV which means Promotion of Technologies that Guarantee Environnement and a better Quality of Life,
PROTEGE QV aims to promote individual and collective initiatives to induce rural development, to protect the environment and to improve the wellbeing of the community.
We use information (through groups discussions, radio broadcastings, publications and exhibitions), trainings through worshops and long distance trainings, as vectors to implement our projects
We work in collaboration with the government and other NGOs.
We have just ended a project of Long distance training for rural women in the upper nkam division through radio broadcasting programs on family health, income generating activities and local leadership (december 2003).
I am expecting a lot from this workshop to improve our methodology and engage in networks.
