Greetings All,

Thank you to Marjan, Valeria, Sylvie, Miriam for their introductions.
And welcome to the new subscribers to this list.

We have noticed that sometimes emails are duplicated when they are
sent to the list. Rather than pressing the "reply" button when you want
to respond to this list, it is better to put in the "to" line the email ad=

This way we avoid duplication of emails.

And now on to the discussions! The questions I posted yesterday to
guide our deliberations are:

The goal: Explore the different strategies and platforms used by
development organizations to facilitate rural women=92s expression of
their issues and their concerns.

*What are the lessons from and challenges of projects that use different
media to capture women=92s voices?

*In your view, do particular communication technologies and media
platforms (television, radio, Internet, etc) lend themselves better
to certain applications like facilitating policy inputs, economic
empowerment activities, etc. targeted at women in rural areas?

And to remind you that these are merely guide questions. Remember
we welcome your experiences, want to hear of resources, stories,
events etc. These will be valuable contributions to the workshop.

We look forward to your contributions!

Warm Regards,
Jenny
