Greetings All,

Thanks so much to those who have introduced themselves. Sharon,
Irene, Nnenna, Sally-Jean, Catherine, Eugenia. Please feel free to
introduce yourself and your work at anytime during this e-consultation.
We have 32 members of this group and more joining daily.

A reminder to please send your emails which are intended for the list to
the email address:
ict4ruralwomeninafrica@lists.womensnet.org.za

And now onto the first set of questions we have to explore the first goal
of the workshop. Remember we welcome your experiences, want to
hear of resources, stories, events etc. These will be valuable
contributions to the workshop.

Goal: Explore the different strategies and platforms used by
development organizations to facilitate rural women=92s expression of
their issues and their concerns.

*What are the lessons from and challenges of projects that use different
media to capture women=92s voices?

*In your view, do particular communication technologies and media
platforms (television, radio, Internet, etc) lend themselves better
to certain applications like facilitating policy inputs, economic
empowerment activities, etc. targeted at women in rural areas?

Warm Regards,
Jenny
