Dear Jenny

My name is Eugenia Chika Akpa, I am a staff of the Department of Sociology, 
of Ahmadu Bello University. I am a Ph.D student and also a member of a 
Gender Study Group of the University still to be fully established. My interest in 
this field is in rural women of the eastern Nigeria. These group of people we 
have found lack proper communication programmes. Even radio information is 
scarce as they are peasant farmers struggling to earn daily bread. I think that this 
is where ICTs comes in and I do hope that the experience I will gain from 
participating will enhance the work I am doing with these women.
